[Aviation] 타이완 중화항공이 $156mil에 mid-life A330-300 5대를 매입
타이완의 국적항공사인 중화항공(China Airlines)는 mid-life 중고기 5대를 $156mil에 매입.
매입을 한 회사는 SPV로 이름은 Altitude Aircraft CAL이며 이를 통해 매입한 5대는 중화항공이 임대할 계획.
향후 임대기간이 끝나면 Part-out(부품을 위해 분해되는 것)될 것으로 예상.
(중화항공이 소유 보유한 A330-300기종들의 기령은 12년-15년 사이 기령)
Taiwan’s China Airlines (CAL) has set up Altitude Aircraft CAL as a special purpose vehicle (SPV) for the sale and leaseback of five of its mid-life Airbus A330-300 aircraft for a total consideration of $156 million.
Altitude Aircraft CAL will lease the five aircraft back to the Taiwanese flag carrier for five to six years, CAL has confirmed to Airfinance Journal.
The five units will likely be dismantled for parts sales following the stint. CAL operates 23 A330-300s, of which it owns 13.
While CAL would not disclose which five units had been sold to the SPV, Airfinance Journal's Fleet Tracker data shows that of the carrier’s 13 owned A330s, three were built in 2004, six in 2005, one in 2006 and three in 2007.
